Origin And Composition
Sweet ginger oil comes from China, and is composed of zingiberene, e-citral, z-citral, and camphene among others. The oil is pale to deep amber in colour and can range from thin to mildly viscous.
This essential oil can be dropped onto a cotton ball or diffused and inhaled for digestive discomfort relief, and is also known to be an anti-inflammatory and cold and flu symptom reliever. Drops of sweet ginger essential oil can also be used in the bath for a soothing and healing effect.
The aroma of sweet ginger oil is known to be energising, with sharp, warm, spicy notes and just a hint of sweetness like toffee. It is often used as a base note in warm or woody fragrances.
